Project Description
DISCIPLINED
DISCIPLINED emerges from personal loss and historical research into “punitive gynaecology” in the USSR — a practice illustrating how women’s experiences and stories are often belittled and dismissed. Through crackled ceramic sculptures suspended from butchery hooks, the artist explores the tension between vulnerability and resilience. By bringing suppressed narratives into the light, the installation refuses to keep these experiences hidden, insisting that even the “unpretty” parts of life have to be seen, acknowledged.
